Dr. Michelle Kamel, who grew up in Massapequa, is a board-certified periodontist who received her D.D.S. degree from New York University, College of Dentistry in 2020 and graduated with honors in Periodontics. She completed her post-graduate training in Periodontics, also at N.Y.U., in 2023 and has achieved Diplomate status with the American Board of Periodontology.

Her commitment to the profession has continued following her graduation, as she is certified in LANAP® and LAPIP® laser technology, which is a minimally invasive alternative to traditional gum surgery that has a more rapid recovery time with significantly less discomfort. She is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Society, and other local societies.
